Biography

Amanda Jane Stern is a writer, actor, and producer from New York City. She started acting at 9-years-old when she was cast as a Shakespeare reciting Brownie Scout girl in the bizarre comedy, "Martin and Orloff." She continued to act through her childhood and teen years. She took off from acting to attend Brandeis University, where she received a BA in Film, Television and Interactive Media and Theater Arts. While at Brandeis, she discovered her passion for writing and directing as well. Her senior thesis, "Coerced: A Documentary Play," was featured on NPR. The play told the story of a teenage girl who was illegally interrogated by police and coerced into a murder confession.
