​From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Dean Parisot is an American film and television director. Parisot won the 1988 Academy Award for Best Short Film, Live Action for The Appointments of Dennis Jennings which starred and was co-written (with Mike Armstrong) by comedian Steven Wright. Among his television credits are episodes of Monk, Northern Exposure and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
